Qu Hongjun, Professor, doctoral supervisor, male, graduated from the Department of geology of Northwest University in 1988, obtained master's degree and doctor's degree in Northwest University in 1995 and 2003 respectively, was supported by the national public education fund to study in Sri Lanka for one year from 1997 to 1998, and engaged in post doctoral research in Guangzhou Institute of geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2004 to 2006.

He has presided over and undertaken more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial level and horizontal cooperation projects, including 3 national major science and technology special sub projects, 1 general project of National Natural Science Fund, 1 major project of National Natural Science Fund and 1 national key R & D plan project of Ministry of science and technology. He has made some achievements in sedimentology and reservoir forming geology, especially in-depth research on the distribution and accumulation of oil and gas in the Ordos Basin and the world's deep-water ocean, and has achieved fruitful results. He has established a global deep-water oil and gas database, published more than 50 papers, and published a monograph. His research achievements have won the first prize of science and technology award of Shaanxi University 1 third prize of science and technology award of Shaanxi Province; currently member of lithofacies paleogeography Professional Committee of China Society of mineral geochemistry, and editorial board member of Natural Gas Geoscience and Journal of paleogeography.

2、 Lecture course

It is mainly responsible for: the course of sedimentary petrology for undergraduates of base class, the field geological teaching of Ordos Basin Qinling orogenic belt for national excellent course, and the course of progress and method of sedimentology for postgraduates;

He has ever undertaken courses such as sedimentary environment and sedimentary facies, sequence stratigraphy and gemstone identification.
